Hunger is about more than food. It’s about people, about us. It is a matter of grave concern, that 8.9% of the global population faces hunger and approximately 15% of the population in India is undernourished. Also, it is appalling to know that nearly 1/3rd of the food produced in the world is never consumed and goes to waste. We, At HSF, endeavour to solve the problem of world hunger by providing adequate nutritious food to the ones in need with the support and participation of our donor partners and by the public. Approximately 4000 poor families are benefited by this project and it also gives assistance to those who are left out of their jobs and are helpless in earning bread and butter for their families. It consists of food packets distribution to poor people who are unable to afford it for feeding their families and have meals thrice. This project also comprised distribution in holy month of Ramadan and during the turbulent, emergency Covid-19 pandemic. Through this program, we aim to ensure that every needy one has access to proper food so they can grow to become healthy independent individual and we can move towards a Hunger Free India.
